How Do I Know It's Really the Archangels?

Over the past few weeks, I've been sharing different ways you can connect and communicate with the Archangels, especially through your intuitive senses—the Clairs.

But there's another question I hear frequently: "How do I know it's really the Archangels I'm connecting with?"

My first recommendation is simple: Ask for confirmation.

You don't have to accept the first image, feeling, word, or sign you receive and immediately decide you know exactly what it means.

Ask.

Pay attention.

Feel into it.

And if you're still unsure, ask again.

How the Archangels Get My Attention

One of the easiest ways the Archangels get my attention is through large, colorful orbs of light.

With the Angels, I often see little flashes of sparkling light, but with the Archangels, my experience is different. I'll often see a much larger orb of light that remains visible a little longer, and its color can help me recognize which Archangel I'm experiencing.

With Archangel Michael, I usually see a large medium-to-dark blue orb.

Archangel Faith appears to me as light blue.

Archangel Raphael as green.

Archangel Zadkiel as deep purple.

Archangel Amethyst as light purple.

And Archangel Uriel as a beautiful deep gold.

But seeing the orb doesn't mean I stop there. If I'm unsure, I ask for confirmation.

Let the Message Repeat

Let's say you begin seeing a beautiful green orb, and you wonder, "Archangel Raphael, is that you?"

And then you see the green orb again. Wonderful. But you're still not sure. So you say, "Raphael, if this is you, please confirm it for me in a couple of different ways that I can easily recognize and understand."

A little while later, you turn on the television, and there's a character on the screen named Dr. Raphael.

Later, you receive a call from someone named Ralph at your doctor's office.

Now you're beginning to see a pattern.

This is something I've shared throughout this series: Divine Guidance is repetitive.

When I'm uncertain about what I'm receiving, I like to ask for the message multiple times and, whenever possible, through multiple Clairs. Then I pay attention to what continues to appear.

Now Ask: Why Is Raphael Here?

Confirmation is only the beginning. Once you feel comfortable that Raphael is making his presence known, the next question becomes: "Raphael, what are you trying to communicate with me?"

Perhaps you've been asking about your health.

Maybe you're working through an issue involving self-worth.

Perhaps you're trying to discover the truth about a person or situation.

Or maybe Raphael simply wants you to know he's there supporting you.

This is where you continue using your Clairs.

What do you see?

What do you hear?

What do you feel?

What do you know?

And what continues to repeat?

Sometimes Angelic Presence Can Come Through People

Years ago, when I was just beginning to learn about the Angels, I had an experience I've never forgotten. It was a beautiful sunny day in Boston, and I was sitting on a park bench eating my lunch. A beautiful woman who appeared to be in her 50s approached me and asked if she could sit beside me. Of course, I said yes. Truthfully, I don't remember our conversation at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure that almost as soon as she said goodbye and walked away, I couldn't remember what we'd talked about.

But I remember her. More specifically, I remember how I felt in her presence. She radiated such extraordinary love and peace that after she walked away, I remember thinking,

"I think I just met an Angel."

To this day, I don't know exactly what happened. Was she an Angel appearing to me in human form? Was an Angel working through this woman? Or did her presence simply allow me to experience something profoundly Divine?

I don't know.

But I have never forgotten the love and peace I experienced while sitting beside her. And sometimes the experience itself is more important than having an explanation for it.

Pay Attention to What Draws Your Awareness

I've also had experiences in which I perceived someone's eyes as suddenly appearing a completely different color while feeling the presence of an Archangel or Ascended Master.

I've experienced brown eyes appearing to me as the most extraordinary, vibrant blue while feeling the presence of Archangel Michael or Jesus.

During another experience, my surgeon's normally brown eyes appeared to me as the most beautiful gold while I felt Archangel Uriel's presence.

When something like this happens, I don't think we necessarily have to immediately decide exactly how it happened.

Instead, we can become curious.

Let's return to our Raphael example.

You're sitting in your doctor's office when suddenly you become completely captivated by your doctor's beautiful green eyes. Something about them feels different. Your awareness is drawn to them, so you check in.

"Raphael, is that you making your presence known to me?"

For this type of question, I often use Clairsentience—Clear Feeling.

Perhaps your heart suddenly fills with extraordinary warmth and love.

Then ask another question: "Are you letting me know you're here helping me through this situation?"

And then... listen to your doctor.

Perhaps Raphael is simply reassuring you of his presence, or perhaps something your doctor says contains an important part of the guidance you've been asking to receive.

Again: Don't force an interpretation. Ask. Receive. Notice. Confirm.

Work from the Outside In

During last week's Archangel Mastery™ class, one of the women in the course asked me how she could begin receiving clearer communication from the Archangels.

The first thing I told her was: Have fun.

Let go of preconceived ideas about exactly how or when the message is supposed to arrive.

Then I suggested something I call: Working from the outside in.

If you're not yet confident recognizing your inner Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, or Claircognizance, begin by asking the Archangels for confirmation through things outside yourself that are easier to recognize.

People

Places

Names

Songs

Numbers

Colors

Signs

Conversations

Advertisements

Maybe you ask Raphael to make his presence known, and over the next few days you repeatedly see and hear Raphael or Ralph in unexpected places.

Notice it.

Acknowledge it.

Thank him.

Then keep communicating.

As you begin to recognize these outer messages and trust your ability to notice them, you may find yourself becoming more receptive to what is happening within you.

You begin recognizing the quiet voice within.

The image in your mind's eye.

The warmth in your heart.

The knowing that seems to arrive from nowhere.

We work from the outside in. And little by little, what once felt subtle can become increasingly familiar.

Discernment Is Part of the Relationship

You don't have to label every unusual experience as an Archangel message.

You don't have to understand everything immediately.

And you don't have to believe every thought that enters your mind is Divine Guidance.

Developing a relationship with the Archangels is exactly that: a relationship.

It grows through communication

Experience

Trust

Discernment

Confirmation

And time

So when you're unsure, ask:

"Is this really you?"

"Please confirm this for me."

"Please help me understand."

And then let go of how you think the answer needs to arrive.

The Archangels may surprise you.
