When Archangel Raphael Became My Teacher

Over the years, one of the questions I've been asked most often is, "How do you actually learn to work with the Archangels?"

One of the greatest lessons I ever received came from Archangel Raphael while I was attending massage school.

Whenever I begin any type of healing work, I always start with the same prayer.

I ask God to allow me to become a pure channel of God’s Healing Love and Light.

During massage school, something extraordinary began happening. There were a number of times when I would suddenly become aware of Archangel Raphael's beautiful healing presence.

Then something very unusual would happen.

The next thing I knew...

Ten...

Sometimes even twenty...minutes had passed.

I would suddenly realize I was working on a completely different part of my client's body, with no memory of how I had gotten there.

While I knew Raphael had been working through me, I wasn't consciously experiencing what he was doing or learning from him.

Then one day, I remembered something a dear friend had shared with me.

She told me that she had asked the Archangels, "I am happy to have you work through me, but I don't want to miss the experience. Please allow me to remain fully present so I can learn from you."

I loved that request.

So I asked the Archangels for the very same thing.

Not long afterward, I was working with a young man who was lying on his back on my massage table. As I began gently massaging his neck, something extraordinary happened.

It felt as though I had stepped just behind myself.

I could see myself working with my client while, at the very same time, I could feel my hands and arms being lovingly guided by Archangel Raphael through a series of massage strokes and techniques I had never learned before.

I wasn't unconscious.

I wasn't "checked out."

I was completely present.

Watching.

Feeling.

Learning.

It was one of the most joyful learning experiences of my life.

In that moment, I realized that Raphael wasn't simply working through me. He was teaching me.

I thanked him for the incredible gift he had just given me.

That experience forever changed the way I work with the Archangels.

I realized they are not only here to help us. They are wonderful teachers. They patiently guide us. Encourage us. Expand our understanding. And lovingly help us develop gifts we may not even realize we possess.

All we have to do is ask...

…and allow.

Over the years, I've discovered that the Archangels are always communicating with us.

Sometimes they teach us through an inner knowing.

Sometimes through a feeling.

Sometimes through images, words, or signs that gently capture our attention.

The more we consciously invite them into our lives, the more naturally we begin to recognize their presence and guidance.
