Walking Through the Lion's Gate with the Archangels

Today, August 8th, we enter one of the most talked-about spiritual gateways of the year: the Lion's Gate Portal.

Each year, the 8/8 Lion's Gate Portal is associated in modern metaphysics with the brilliant star Sirius, the energies of Leo, and the numerological frequency of 8—abundance, infinity, spiritual transformation, and new possibilities.

But this year's Lion's Gate feels especially significant.

Because only four days from now, on Wednesday, August 12th, we’ll experience a total solar eclipse in Leo.

For me, these two events create a beautiful spiritual invitation.

Perhaps the Lion's Gate isn't only asking us:

"What do I want to manifest?"

Perhaps it is asking an even greater question:

"Who am I becoming?"

Because before we can fully receive something new, we are often invited to release what no longer reflects who we truly are.

And we don't have to walk through that transformation alone.

There are several Archangels whose gifts I feel beautifully complement the energies of this Lion's Gate and the upcoming solar eclipse.

Archangel Michael — Release & Protection

As we move through this powerful energetic window, we can call upon Archangel Michael to help us recognize and release old patterns, fears, attachments, and ways of being that no longer serve our highest good.

With his Sword of Blue Light, Michael helps us cut the energetic cords that keep us connected to the past while surrounding us with his powerful protection.

What am I ready to lovingly release?

Archangel Raphael — Healing & Integration

Transformation can bring old emotions and experiences to the surface, and Archangel Raphael can help us lovingly heal and integrate what arises.

Call upon Raphael and the Green Healing Ray to surround every part of your mind/body/spirit that is ready to receive healing.

What within me is ready to heal?

Archangel Ariel — Courage & Authenticity

I especially love Ariel's presence during this time. Ariel's name means "Lion of God," making her a beautiful Archangel to call upon during the Lion's Gate and these powerful Leo energies.

Ariel teaches us courage, sovereignty, and the importance of honoring the natural world.

She can also help us find the courage to stop being who we think we're supposed to be and more fully express who we truly are.

Ask yourself:

Where am I being called to live more authentically?

Archangel Metatron — Higher Awareness

Archangel Metatron works with sacred geometry and the higher frequencies of Divine Light.

During spiritually significant energetic periods, we can call upon Metatron to help us receive and integrate higher levels of awareness.

Rather than trying to understand everything intellectually, allow yourself simply to receive.

Ask yourself:

What higher awareness am I ready to receive?

And then, four days from now, something extraordinary happens.

When the Light Disappears

On Wednesday, August 12th, the Moon will move between the Earth and the Sun, creating a total solar eclipse visible along portions of the Northern Hemisphere.

Think about the symbolism of that for a moment.

Four days after we consciously open ourselves to receiving more Light... the Light temporarily disappears.

Perhaps there is a spiritual message within that darkness.

Sometimes our greatest illumination doesn't occur when everything around us is bright and clear.Sometimes we discover our greatest Light when we are willing to enter the places within ourselves we have been afraid to see—and consciously bring the Light into what has previously remained hidden.

And this is where I invite another Archangel to join us.

Archangel Uriel — Surrender, Authenticity & Becoming Your Higher Self

As the physical light of the Sun temporarily disappears during Wednesday's eclipse, I invite you to call upon Archangel Uriel and the beautiful frequencies of the Golden Ruby Ray.

The Golden Ruby Ray embodies Divine Grace, Peace, Surrender, Self-Empowerment, Self-Awareness, Self-Confidence, Conscious Living, and the becoming of the Higher Self.

And I think these qualities are especially meaningful during this eclipse.

Sometimes the greatest transformation occurs when we stop trying to control exactly how our lives are supposed to unfold and surrender to the greater wisdom of our Divine Self.

There is tremendous freedom in learning to go with the Divine Flow—not giving away our power, but releasing our need to control exactly how the journey must unfold.

Uriel can help us recognize where shame, guilt, blame, powerlessness, stagnation, or old identities have kept us from fully expressing who we truly are.

Then, rather than judging ourselves for what we discover, we can surrender it. Release it.

And allow our TRUE Self to rise.

This is one of the beautiful gifts of the Golden Ruby Ray—the energy of the Phoenix rising from the ashes.

Not becoming someone completely different...But allowing what is no longer authentic to fall away so that more of our TRUE Self—our Divine I-dentity—can emerge.

Perhaps that is one of the deeper invitations of Wednesday's eclipse.

When the outer Light temporarily disappears, we are being reminded that we don't have to search outside ourselves for the Light.

We are the Light.

Ask yourself:

What am I ready to surrender so that I can more fully become and express my TRUE Self?

A Lion's Gate & Eclipse Invocation

If you feel called, find a quiet place sometime today, especially outside in nature.

Close your eyes.

Place your hand over your heart.

Take several deep breaths.

Then say:

Beloved Archangels Michael, Raphael, Ariel, Metatron, & Uriel,

Please walk beside me as I move through the energies of the Lion's Gate Portal and the upcoming total solar eclipse.

Michael, help me lovingly release what is complete.

Raphael, heal and integrate what is ready to be restored.

Ariel, give me the courage to live authentically and express the Truth of who I AM.

Metatron, help me receive and integrate the highest frequencies of Divine Light available to me in perfect alignment with my Divine Plan.

Uriel, help me surrender what I can no longer control, release what no longer reflects my TRUE Self, and lovingly rise into greater Self-Awareness, Self-Confidence, Peace, and alignment with my Higher Self.

May everything I receive, release, heal, and awaken through this sacred time occur in perfect alignment with my Divine Plan and for my highest good and the highest good of all.

And so it is.

Then simply breathe.

Receive.

And allow.

You don't have to force anything to happen.

You don't have to figure everything out.

And you certainly don't need to manifest your entire future today.

Instead, perhaps the greatest gift you can give yourself during this Lion's Gate is simply to become more present with the person your soul is inviting you to be.

Between now and Wednesday's eclipse, sit with these questions:

What am I ready to release?

What am I ready to heal?

Where am I ready to live more authentically?

What higher awareness am I ready to receive?

What is the Light revealing that I am finally ready to see?

And finally...

Who am I becoming through all of it?

Perhaps the Lion's Gate isn't simply a portal we walk through.

Perhaps it is an invitation to remember that the greatest gateway has always existed within us.
